Creatures

I’ve been painting outside this past weekend.  It’s summer and it’s hot!  But, it sure feels great to be out in the fresh air.  Lots of bugs everywhere though — I felt like painting some just for the practice and I filled the page.

“Mr. Gray” is another creature who spends time in my garden.  He’s my “studio cat”– meaning he lives in our basement. (don’t worry, it’s ‘daylight’).  He comes outside with me when I paint or garden but otherwise he stays inside and he seems to prefer it that way most of the time.

He wandered by last winter and begged to come inside– we have no idea what his story is.  Our older Missy and Musky cats aren’t very happy with the arrangement so we keep them upstairs.  Maybe someday they will get used to each other–do you think?
