The “Native Plants in the Landscape” conference at Millersville University offered a workshop taught by Landscape architect David Hughes. He taught us how to create miniature chairs made with invasive trees and plants gathered from the woods.
I wasn’t speedy enough to complete my chair during the workshop, so I took it home in pieces to finish.

I split long, leathery yucca leaves into long strips and wove them to create the seat. The yucca leaves are flexible and strong.
